I am currently in the process of filing out paper work to petition for the name change of my daughter. Currently she has my last name, but I would like to hyphenate her current last name with her biological fathers last name.
On the paper work it asks why I'm doing this. I guess what I'm stuck on is how to word everything. We've never been married, but he's always paid child support and we've never had a problem with the visitation schedule as it's been the normal every other weekend and once a week since she was born.
My daughter is now 8 years old and I believe that her father has earned the right to have her carry his last name also
