My last mestrual period started on August 7th, today on the 29th I saw a tint of pink and then a tint of brown when I wiped. I had unprotected sex on the 18th and the 20th. I have had a lot of headaches, and some very faint cramps. I also missed pills in my birth control. Could I be pregnant?

If you had sex, then yes, perhaps. Or not. Even on the pill, with perfect use (which you have not followed) you can get pregnant. But your symptoms may be from other causes as well.

Lighter periods and headachea aren't going to tell you. You'll need to take a test. A blood test is more accurate. At homes are most accurate when its +. A - might just be you haven't built up enough detectable hormone.

So short answer is nobody can tell you from symptoms or irregular period. Simply being stressed/sick/etc can alter that.

Is it true that you can get your period and still be pregnant? I had unprotected sex last month also, is there a chance I could be pregnant from last month? Also I had brown spotting on August 21st the day after I had unprotected sex of this month, and my boyfriend came inside of me on the 21st. We are going to take a hpt on Friday, I just have so many questions..!

Sorry I meant he came inside of me on the 20th, then the spotting started the 21st. I am still having the spotting from yesterday also. I used one of them online calculators (almost every single one) and my most fertile time and time of ovulation was when I had the unprotected sex and my b/f ejaculated inside of me.

Is there also a possibility that I could have twins and notice signs earlier? Because I was supposed to be a twin (had that removed last year, was a durmoid tumor)

You can have spotting when pregnant.

Id be surprised if the spotting this last month had anything to do with sex the previous day, as in implantation bleeding would probably be later if at all.

You sound like you are interested in getting pregnant. Remember that you need to act like you are if you are trying... as in limit alcohol, smoking, take vitamins, etc...

My understanding of a dermoid tumor is that it develops a few weeks in... this implies that it isn't so much that you were to be a twin, but that some developing tissues were "caught" out of place, and developed incorrectly. Your case might be different... but that's my understanding.

The doctors said it was my twin, it had hair and teeth and weighed 10 pounds, and I never had any signs or problems, it has been there since birth and just kept growing. All of the spotting started just this month on the 21st (the day after he ejaculated inside of me) and then yesterday on the 29th.

Medical source:

"Dermoid tumors are thought to arise from misplaced ectodermal elements during the third to fifth weeks of embryonic life when the neural tube closes at the midline. This may explain the frequent midline location of dermoid tumors."

Yes, they can have hair and teeth, etc and get quite large. But as defined here at least, it is derived from tissue from a single, developing embryo... well and far past the stage that a twin would evolve.

The condition you are describing is perhaps a parasidic twin (such as fetus-in-fetu (rare)), but dermoids can be confused as such. If they meant a parasitic twin, they should not have used the term dermoid. Or if its dermoid, they should not have described it as a twin.
