I was just wondering what I needed to do about my Dell E1505 laptop screen, due to its extremely high pitch sound, and it's flashing and blacking out? I know a lot about computers, but nothing about computer screens! Any help will be a lot of help!!

Does it fix itself if your screen is open at a certain angle?
Can be number of things
If answer is yes then most likely a loose connection so if you know what you're doing just open it up and make sure the screen cable is connected to the mobo properly, I remember you only need to take off the bit of plastic above the keyboard with a flathead and it won't void your warranty.
Another explanation would be a loose or dodgy inverter which would explain the whine (inverter is what give power to the backlight), if its under warranty then just get dell to sort it, if not then no harm in looking at it if you know what you're looking for (its a long thin PCB at the base of the panel), easy to check and replace (about £20 or $30) hardest part is opening the screen bezel without scratching it.
Ps. Some samsun lcd panels (which Dell use) emit a whine when on low brightness and there's no way around that except turning up brightness
