Hi,
I used my sunroof here in England for the first time this year. It opened fine but when I tried to close it, it got half way and the motor groaned then the sunroof stopped.
When I looked for the cause, I found the rubber seal around the glass had rucked up and jammed the glass. I managed to prize the rubber out with the aid of a screwdriver. When I felt it, it was very hard and I was unable to reseat it properly around the glass.
Is there anyway of spraying the rubber with some compound or chemical to temporaraly soften it to give me chance to reseat it around the glass.
I know a replacement seal (expensive over here) is the only answer but I nead a temporary answer for now because we are prone to a lot of rain here.
Please don't say buy an umberella!
Forgot to say the car is a Toyota Carina 1994.
Thanks.
Richard.

Thanks Kitch, I'll try that. Got to admit it's one of the best quality cars I've ever had.
Cheers mate.
