After I remove the set screws from the hot & cold H2O handles, how do I get the handles and housing off to change the washer?

I removedthe screws, turned knobs left till they stopped, the applied a wrench lightlty, with no result to remove the housing, so I can get to the brass parts to remove thewasher.
I did not want to break the facet .:confused:

They make a handle and ferrule puller, (see image) for those stubborn handles. They are inexpensive and can be picked up at any Plumbing Supply Store. Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom
