I asked yesterday about my prelude not firing,I forgot to mention it was a carburated car ,it doesn't have a main relay it has a fuel cut off relay ,it's a 1990 honda prelude 2.0 carburated model.I replaced the cap& roter, coil ignition moduel. I wondered if the fuel cut off relay might cause it to not fire,I can't seem to find any info on it.I also can't find the igniter unit,I found it on my fuel injected car but not this one,I found a diagram on a distributor and it had a igniter in it ,but it was a different dist. any suggestions

Gain access to the top of the carburetor & see if gas is coming into the carburator. If you see or smell gas while someone else cranks the engine & pumps the accelerator, then fuel is present & the fuel cut-off relay is NOT the problem. Do NOT put your head over the carburator in case of a backfire through the carburator. As a side note, when the engine is cranked, do you get shocked if you grab a spark plug wire. This would indicate ignition is available though not necessarily at the right time.
