I recently installed a new central air/furnace system in my home. The furnace and A-coil are both Lennox, with a Haier condenser unit outside. The problem I'm having is with the drain tube on the A-coil drain. When I first started the system, it drained quite a bit of condensed water during the cooling cycle. However, about a week later, I noticed the discharge from the drain line was a clear, thick, gelatinous substance. It's almost as clear as water, but not quite. I was talking to a friend who had his coil drain plugged up with the same sort of discharge. Does anyone know what this might be, and how to prevent it? Again, my system is brand new... only in operation about 6 weeks.
