What do you exactly mean?

there is the simplest, but not adviseable, for example, take sodium

Electronic configuration: 2, 8, 1

Or, more explicit; 1s^2, 2s^2, 2p^6, 3s^1

Or short of that explicit configuration; [Ne] 3s^1
