find the standard form of the equation of the line that passes through the points (-1,9) and (-7,-3)

First find the slope, m. I assume you can do that from the given coordinates?

Next, set up y-y_{1}=m(x+x_{1}).

Plug in either of your points for x1 and y1. You already figured out m.

Then, simplify and rewrite it in standard form.
