I'm trying this to see if if I can get any answers before calling my child support agency in the county of Wisconsin where my case resides. Mostly because I feel they are not cooperative and seemingly one sided.
I can't afford my monthly payments right now, not that I don't want to pay and always keep up to date, but times and the economy have caught up with me. Work was slow for me last year being that I work seasonal construction. The last two years I've worked for cash, so I don't receive un-employment compensation. The guy I work for didn't want to pay workers compensation for one employee, so again this past year he said he was going to put me on payroll, but never did, and I committed to do the work for him.
To shorten things up, I'm hoping income and work come soon and possible new employment. I'm just getting into a financial bind the last few months with my own expenses as are many with jobs and the economy. I just can't afford to pay my child support right now, if any until I get some income coming back in. I don't want the county sheriff knocking at my door, which has never happened before, to take me to jail for not paying.
Is there any temporary relief! I'm all for paying, just can't afford to at the moment.
