How is suta tax computed in different states if an employee is transferred to another state?

If I am not mistaken you need to get your companies SUTA rate in the new state and start remitting the money collected to that state. Do you have an outside company manage your payroll?

SUTA or State Unemployment Tax is different in each state.

If an employee starts working in a different state you will need to set up an account with that state. When you set up an account they will send you the rate you need to use.

Suta tax is paid to the state in which the work is performed, the reason being is that is where the employee is required to file for unemployment should he/she become unemployed.
