The washer tries to spin but only makes a loud rapid clicking sound. The motor coupler is OK. I replaced the clutch which was badly worn but no improvement. I am now trying to remove the basket following the Whirlpool manual but after removing the spanner nut the tub will not lift.
I have tried soaking the drive block-tub interface with WD-40 for two days - still no luck.
Qustion: am I on the right track and do you have any suggestion on how to get the tub out?
