I am not computer literate.

Is an AMD Phenom X4 9150e Quad-Core Processor a graphics card?

I wanted a XFX GeoForce 9500 1g graphics card to support MS Flight Simulator, which requires an 8500 or better card.

AMD Phenom X4 9150e Quad-Core is a CPU not GPU

CPU = Central Processing Unit
GPU = Graphics Processing Unit

Check these ones out.
