For married couples over 50, how often per week on average do you have sex?

My husband is 51 years old, he has ED, i am 42, and this Has caused some issues. Yes, he has gone to the doctor, so nothing will help at this point. Before the ED became bad, we had sex daily, and often more than once a day. We've been together 8 years.

Take what I'm about to post as a little novelty. I do not know how well this site actually follows the data collected in the cited survey, performed by the university of chicago a decade and change ago... this survey is well known and cited often.

The study found certain factors tied into frequency of sex... and the posted link plays off that.

From what I've seen, its common to see frequency of sex diminish from over once, but less than twice, a week in the 30's to more than once, but less than twice a month, at the 55-ish and above range. A quarter to a half of those in the older population commonly say they wish theyd have sex more often.

Ill poke around and see if I can find a more recent study. The chicago study was very well done... but also was before the wide use of ED drugs... which might have changed the numbers...

I am 62 and my wife is 59. We have sex at least 3 to 4 times a week.
