My pregnant ex-girlfriend left me for her new boyfriend. The baby is suppose to be mine. She is a marijuana user. She will not let me have anything to do with the baby and says she is going to come after me for child support when the baby is born. I am a very honorable man and already have a six year old daughter, so this isn't my first time being a dad. I think I am a very good dad and would love the chance to raise my son. I would like at the least to have joint custody to be a mentor and role model for my son and watch him grow up. Please help me and tell me what kind of rights I have. :( Keep in mind I have never done anything wrong legally or to her. She just went back to her ex boyfriend.

You have the right to fight for custody of your child in court. Go for it. You sound like a great dad, and I know that there are tons of great single dads out there.

You would go to Court, prove paternity, request visitation and/or custody (I very highly doubt you will get sole custody) and pay support. If you can prove she is a danger to the child you will have a chance at sole custody, of course.

Was she using when you were living with her and she got pregnant or is this a new thing in her life?
