I have a NOMA model 52-2549-0 touch screen 7 Day programmable Thermostat, the guide says to select auto on system settings to ensure heating and cooling programs will run automatically, when I do this it only works for cooling, no heat?

Auto-changeover usually requires an opposite mode demand for at least 30 minutes (default, but adjustable) before switching to opposite mode. If you set the system to off, then heat-only mode, then back to auto, does the display change to heat?
