I acquired a Hampton Bay fan Model # EF200 DA-52. The fan is in working condition and I woud like to move it onto my screened in porch but I cannot seem to find enough information on it to determine if it is safe to use it outdoors. How can I find out if the fan is safe to use as an outdoor fan?

If your porch is roofed properly you can use this fan but it may rust eventually. It will not last as long as indoors because of temp extremes and humidity.

I agree, you can use any fan indoors or outdoors so long as it does not come into contact with water. If it will be getting damp or wet you will need a specially rated fan.
