My 7400 series Moen faucet was spraying unevenly. I took the aerator apart to clean it. It is now spraying even worse. Maybe I didn't put it back together correctly. Help!

Your best bet at this time would be to replace the aerator. Just take it to a hardware store and tell them you need the same one. They are cheap and easy to replace. Pleae let me know how thing work out.

All Moen faucet 7400 series Aerators are the same Part number is 3919, you can do this remove the Aerator put it in some vinegar over night clean it in the morning, turn on the faucet to flush, install the Aerator see if it is OK, if not replace it with a new one as Mygirlsdad says, you also can call Moen to send you one for free, good Luck.

Note: 3919 Areator is chrome plated one.
