I have a Hansgohe shower head on the end of about a four foot hose. This head drips after water is turned off, for several minutes. It did not used to do this. Is there another problem? Or, how long a drip is normal? From the valves to the shower head it is approximately 7 foot including hose and pipe.
The valves are Price Pfister.
There is what I think a backflow preventer between the hose and supply pipe at the shower wall.

Mine does this as well. Sometimes it will drip and then other times it will not. Try turning off the shower part and still have the tub faucet run with the water for a few seconds. This does the trick with my hand held shower on a long hose. If I just turn off the shower it will drip for about a minute.

This is probably just the water that is in the shower head, it can't run back into the hose because of the back flow perverter. So it will drip slowly out of the head. I have seen some do this, it will drip for a long period (Maybe several minutes) and then a small gush of water will come out of the head. What has happened is the water dripping finally broke the (Air Lock) in the head and the water poured out freely.

The back flow preventer stops water from going back inside the household plumbing but it does allow the hose to drain via the shower head. I would not worry unless it drips 24/7.
