My Miniature Schnauzer was housetrained when we got her. She was really good about going to the door when she needed to go out to the bathroom. Lately she's been pooping and peeing in different areas of the house. I don't understand it because I take her out every couple of hours. It's driving me crazy and making my fiance' very angry. We shut her out of the bedroom sometimes when were eating and stuff because she stares and begs. I think she began doing it out of spite for getting locked out, but now it's getting out of control and happening more and more often. PLEASE HELP! Any ideas why she might being doing this? Any solutions? Thank you.

Sometimes dogs do go to the bathroom because they are jealous. Perhaps because of a new member of the family (hint... fiancé.) A sign would be doing it a large amount of times instead of the occasional accident. Also, if the accidents coincide with particular times when the fiancé is around, and when you are focused on him. I would try pay a bit more attention on the dog, even while the fiancé is around. Also, gradually let the fiancé take a role in this too.

My fiance' is not a new member of the family. We've been together way before we even got the dog. He works from 7 pm to 7 am Monday through Thursday. He's off Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's. My dog does this all the time, when he's home and when he's at work. I've never not given her attention. If anything she gets more attention then my fiance' most the time. She has her own bed in our bedroom and she still get's to sleep with us. I thought she was doing it out of spite at first because she would pee or poop outside our bedroom door when we shut her out. But now she's under the impression that she can do it whenever she pleases. I'm about fed up with it. I know she knows better. She always goes to the door when she has to go out, but she still goes in the house. She did just fine a few months ago when we first got her. I think it might also have something to do with the fact that I used to take her out on the leash to use the bathroom so she could adjust to her new surroundings, but recently I started letting her go out by herself. And she did fine for a while. I'd open the door, she'd go out, use the bathroom, and come back when she was finished. I don't know what to do. I take her out every 3 hours and now I accompany her to make sure she goes. We have a 3 year old Pug that stays in the kitchen at night because he marks his territory all over the house. I don't know what else to do. I'd really hate to coop her up in the kitchen. But I almost have no choice.

Out of curiosity could you possible be pregnant? Most animals will react to that also... Just a wonder I have.
