I added a third light (one that had been sitting in my closet for years) to one of my tracks which immediately blew the bulbs in the other two lights. Thinking the light to be defective, or perhaps the limit on the track to be 2 not 3, I removed it and replaced the bulbs in the other two lights. Now the lights don't come on at all anymore (bulbs are good), although the second light furthest from the transformer hums. I removed it and tried a good light from another track in that location. It came on but blew the bulb right away. There are on/off switches on each light, byt nothing at the transformer. Please help. :(

The volts may be too high for some reason, something either burned out or the lamps are not rated as the volts being supplied.

A defective transfomer can provide high volts.

All you do is use a volt meter and check every feed and transformer to locate the cause and repair as necessary.
