Hello,
I was just wondering if I usually take 1 20mg tablet of escitalopram/cipralex/lexapro(us), per day, I could take 2 10mg tablets instead right? the maths adds up but just wondering if there's anything I'm missing.
Thanks

albear, you must know we can't advise you on this. You will have to direct this question to your pharmacist.I know what you are getting at. They are separate dosages for a good reason.

Fair do's, thanks anyhoo :)
Yes, Bear dear, they are the same. Sometimes when the chemist runs out of 20mg, they will substitute 10 mg.
It's okay to take it this way.

Reet, that means I don't have to dart out quickly for a prescription then :) thanks
I just ran into the same scenario with one of my meds. BUT mine is stronger, so I have to cut it in half.

Ahhhhh right, I take it that's OK too :)
Yup, that's okay. The pharmacist reminded me that he had to substitute my meds, therefore I have to cut them in half for the recommended dosage.
