Well a new question about termination of the parental rights.
My husband is eager to termiante his parental rights but we are officially married is it possible? I do not child support or anyting else from him? Actually we live in different cuntries, the child has a duel citizenship.
Is there a way to have him signed a notarized statement if he is willing too.

Thanks.

If your married your maried and he has a legal pbligation to support his children. He can't terminate rights and still be married. When you get a divorce things may change depending on ALL circumstanses. What country did the marriage take place in and What countries are involved in the marriage ?

We got married in the USA. The child and I live in the Ukraine. The custody order gave me sole legal and physical custody. At that time he did not want to sign anything as for child support so there is none. I was happy to get the custody and took the child to my native country. The father has not paid a cent in child support.

He can't terminate his parental rights until the divorce his final. Until then, he is still responsible for child support.

So I guess I am stuck then. It seems I can't get divorce form Ukraine because it seems I can't get divorce in Ukraine and to hire a lawyer in the USA to represent me is to expensive. Anyway thanks fro your answers!

OK I am married and my daughter is not my husbands biological child . Her biological father doesn't contact her for over 4 yearsnow. How can I therefore terminate his rights as her father
