What's going on everyone? I'm looking to start a commercial cleaning business. Starting it will be just me. So I was wondering what is the process in getting my own business started?

Also since it'll be just me doing the cleaning what kind of services can I offer where I don't over do it?

Hello. Are you looking to run your cleaning business out of a building or your own home? If you are going to operate out of a building, you might have to get some permits, like health permits and zoning permits. You should check in with the city you live in to see if you can get your business started and check with the county Health inspector.

You can offer any kind of services that you want. It is your business. If you want to offer more cleaning do so. If you don't want to do too much, then don't because that is all yours. The perks of having no boss.

I'm going to run it out of my home. How much start up money would it take? And how do I go about bidding on jobs?

Hi, CueBall!

Have you had any experience cleaning for others in order to make a profit for yourself?

Thanks!

No besides cleaning for myself and my parents no not much experience. But I'm going to have a business partner who will handle getting clients and I will go in and clean the properties. I'm not good a negotiating contracts and such.

How would I go about getting a business license?

You would check with city officials where you'll be wanting to work to see if you need a license and how to obtain one.

Thanks!
