I live in a old house found out a switch was bad
I shut off the power and went to put a new switch in it has 12 3 wire
Running to for power and 12 2 out to lights but the old switch was a singel pull
My question is I wired it back the same what I thougfht but it does not work right
I have black split in the switch and white wire nuted together .
And the red was with the black only thing I did was to ad a junction box because we though if I was going to do this we would like and outside light and reseptical.

Ouch, your syntax, spelling, punctuation and grammar are such that I can't make much out of your question other than you replaced a switch and now something doesn't work. Please come back with a much clearer explanation or post some pictures if you can't get it down clearly in words. Then maybe we can help.

I added a juction box just before the switch to add a light for out side.
I thought it was going to be easiest place to get power. And the wire they had was not long enough to wire back the same.
The celer entrance is out side and a light was going to go above the door so has you came to the door it would turn on for you to see and unlock the door.
I could get two of five light to turn off but not the middle three.
The first light would turn off and the last light turns off

Man, without seeing things, you are on your own. It is just a trace and eliminate possibilities type of job. If you can't do that on your own, call a professional.

When you added that junction box want wires did yo u tie to? If you just took the two wires to the switch you have no neutral.
