find two consecutive positive integers such that the square of the first decreased by 25 equals three times the second.

The first integer is "X".
The second integer is, therefore, "X+1" because the integers are consecutive.
The square of the first is X^2 (or X*X).
If you decrease something by 25, you simply subtract 25 from it.
