The correct way would be 'I may go home.'

The word "to" could be taken out and you'd be fine.

In American English it should be:
I may go home.

What is the purpose of the sentence? Ask permission, "May I go to school?" State a fact, "I will go to school." State a possibility, "I may go to school."
