Hi, I'm a newbie here, I have visited just about every site on the internet with no luck.
I need help regarding vaginal pain, I have been with my partner for over 3 years now and we have not had sex for 2 of those years due to intense pain at the opening of my vagina.
I have been to doctors and specialists and they all say there is nothing wrong with it, I have been given anti-depressants, fungal treatments, even epilepsy medication to try to relive the pain and nothing helps.
My partner describes it as being extremely tight and it almost feels like a tight ring closing on my finger. (and yes I asked my doc about vaginismus and he said it wasn't that) it is especially painful in a small area just inside the opening towards the back.
Does anyone have any ideas as I am starting to think the doctors here are all quacks who got their license out of a cereal box. As stupid as it sounds it's destroying my relationship and my life.

Sorry, just had to add, I don't have constant pain, only on penetration or by touch and there is no itching or redness and it is not dry at all.
Please help!
Thank you!!

It may be time to see a specialist. You may need dilation of the vaginal canal.

I did see a specialist, yesterday I went to an OBGYN and she and I quote "Your vagina looks perfect, there is nothing wrong" she then told me to "get over it" and try natural therapies if I wish :-( $150 down the drain...

Thanks for replying so quick though :)

You may want to seek a second opinion at this point.

Ok, thanks for that I will definitely seek out a more 'reputable' specialist.
I just freaked out when I heard that. There has to be something wrong because it can't be that painful for no reason surely.
