I am living in USA almost 7 years. I came to usa with F-1 status lost my status 3 years back could not finish my school due to financial problem. MY Fiancée is a US citizen and over 21 years old.We are planning to marry and fix my status and finish my school because I saved some money last few years that I can finish my school. How long does it take to get a work permit and fix my status . Not green card. I am talking about I can go to school and work in USA. MY license is also expired. Can I renew my license to I should not ? Before applying .I do have social security number. What would be the new social security number or they will keep the same. How long will it take to fix it. I would really appriciate that.

Very difficult and very easy.

Difficult for you to get back into F-1 status, you need to be "reinstated", very unlikely due to the circumstances (financial doesn't count) and the time (3 years). The USCIS will make a reasonable assumption that you engaged in unlawful employment to support yourself for the three years and deny your petition.

Easy for you to get EAD and PR, get married to your USC fiancée and file for adjustment of status. No monetary penalty and you will get an EAD in 90 days. Same SSN, same card, when you get your PR, you can get a new card, without the annotation.
