I had downloaded software that was provided with my camera. It had to restart for it to take effect. Well it kept restarting. Took it in and they got it from restarting, but they have caused a bit of problems. I now cannot download any files. I cannot go and get my monthly games. I cannot get any of the things they say to download to fix the problem. I do not know what they did to get it from restarting but they have removed the CCleaner the Avg. and other things. I cannot do any updates either. I have done the Internet Option also. All I know is that when I go to download a file it says. Encountered a problem, Have to close.

Was the computer brand new when you got it or did you install windows yourself?

first thing I would do is set IE7 defaults
-Open IE and click tools, internet options and go to the adv. Tab
-on the bottom, Click Reset Defaults

Once that is done, close IE and reopen and then try to download ccleaner again and run

ccleaner (Freeware)
Download CCleaner 2.16.830 - FileHippo.com (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/)
On the right hand side, click download latest version

HOpe this helps out

As I said in the first question to you that I had already done the Internet option. It has been reset a few times. This has not solved this problem.

It would have been helpful if you had mentioned in your question what you have tried to this point, you were not clear in previous efforts.

This could have been added to your first question so to continue other thoughts and try to help

I am sorry I was not more clear.I have done the reset. I have also tried to load Internet 8. Nothing works because Iam not able to download anything. I have also set it back to an earlier date on the system restore.

Have you tried to uninstall ie8 and let it go back to 7

I would try to uninstall 8 and then reinstall ie7, but have to make sure IE8 is removed

Here is IE7 download
Internet Explorer: Get It Now (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx)

I need to tell you that in the add and remove there is no internet listed. I then do not know how this can work. So where else can I find out which one I am using. I click on Internet and it takes me right out on the internet. I have Nascar as my home page.
