My husband, has been told by a specialist that after 3 ct scans 1 mri he has thickening on both his lungs, spots all over his lungs but they are unsure what this is?
I am upset and worried as my husband is a strong man and never complains but on this occasion he is also worried. He also has hardening to arteries of heart.
Help I am going insane not knowing a prognosis, he doesn't want to talk just stays at work all time...

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe the doctors don't know what these symptoms are. You had better start asking them questions.
Is he a long time persistent smoker ? Has he ever worked around asbestos ?
How old is he and is he overweight ?

You are going to have to tell the doctors that you husband worked with asbestos. This is the reason his lungs may be damaged. Lung damage is not only related to smoking, but many other factors and asbestos is one of them. It doesn't matter how long he worked with asbestos, it's the fact that he was working with it at all.

Thank you for your quick reply, the consultant does know that he worked with asbestos, also that he worked in a warehouse filled with pigeons, but they only telling us that he needs more tests and that the thickening and spots are spreading, I am worred it may be cancer and being the national health in G.B. they are just stalling, we cannot afford private treatment but are fed up ringing health service to get the rest of these tests done.

You are in Britain, right. Well go to your MP in your riding and see what he can do. He( your hubby not the MP, sorry about that) is feeling poorly right ? They have to move now to get him treatment.
nains, we can only direct, can't do anything else, can't diiagnose, just assume and give advice.
I get the impression that you don't have a regular GP, but if you do, he has to take responsibility to get you back in the system to have these tests done and him under care.
Take care, tick
