Dryer is getting electricity because the lights come on when a drying selection is pushed. The drum will not turn. When I press the start button, I hear a clicking sound and nothing happens after that! What's up with this?

Did you ever solve this problem? Ours just started doing this today. I don't think it's the door switch, because if I leave the door open, I don't get the "clunk" noise.

Any ideas?

What is the model and serial number? It sounds like a bad motor. Do you know if your vent is clean?
