I have a CD full of .jpeg files (photos) that I would like to display on my TV.
I tried showing them on my DVD player but the files were too large and it displayed pictures painfully slow.

Is there a reliable device that can use to show my photos on the TV?
(they are no longer in the camera)

Check your DVD player to see what kind of files it will read - DVD, MPEG, CD-R... My DVD player reads all of those files, but doesn't read .jpg files. My options are:
1.) Use the cable connection straight from the camera to the TV. (I believe you have already eliminated that option)
2.) Look at what software you have on your computer (provided you have one) and see if you can create a "slideshow" with your photos and convert to MPEG or DVD format.
3.) You might check at your local CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. - places that have the digital photo kiosks and see if they can upload your .jpg files and save them to their own CD. Kodak suppliers have a slide show with the CD. It could possibly work with your DVD player.

I would suggest #2 if you have a computer. If your using a Mac product, IPhoto and iMovie would be your best best. If you have a PC, to a search for .jpg to MPEG slide show creator software you could download.
Good luck!
