I'm not talking about white lies. I'm talking about lying for no reason?

I started dating this guy recently. One day, I asked him "why is he attracted asian girls".. and he said he likes them because his last girlfriend was asian, and he really liked her.. (the explanation was of course longer)

But a little digging around would indicate that his last girlfriend was white.. I don't understand why he had to lie to me? Now, I'm left pondering if he's lying all the time. I mean, how can I get to know him, if he's telling lies half the time.

It's really scary and sad at the same time. I thought if I was honest, he would be too, I guess I was wrong.

Are you certain that he isn't referring to someone else. Sometimes our last "girlfriend" may be the last person we had feelings for that took a long time to get over, not necessarily our actual last "girlfriend". Could that be the case?

I don't think so, you wouldn't date someone for over a year, if you don't have feeling for that person.

Maybe he meant the last girl he had sex with was asian. He probably justy didn't want to tell you he just had sex with her.

Or maybe he lied subconsciously. People do it all the time without knowing. It just comes out for no reason. I'm sure he didn't mean any harm by the lie.

Maybe he lied to make you feel better about yourself... if you are Asian that is...

Sometimes a guy will tell u things that ain't true so as not to hurt your feelings and stuff...
