I have a IRA account. I received an Statement for 2008 showing me my balance and the interest credited in my account. I did not make contribution for 2008. My question is: If I Didn't make contribution for 2008. Do I still have to put my IRA information in my 2008 taxes? Where goes this information? In what line of the 1040?

If not collecting IRA's, then no. Mandatory withdrawals start at 70 1/2.

Values that are needed then are:
1) Value of IRA's on Dec 31
2. Withdrawals/contributions and taxes withheld.

3a) Rollover amounts

For both time frames (3a) and contributions.

If any taxes are withheld, then the 1099 needs to be attached.
