I was born in Germany and had a German passport. Due to ignorance, I nationalized in 1994 and so lost my German passport. I was unaware that Germans do not allow dual nationality. I have since tried to get back my German passport and after a lot of running around for papers, birth-certificates etc and a lot of expense, I have still not had any success. Is there any way in which I can regain my Germany passport/citizenship?
