My Compressor Quit Working A Few Months Back. The A/c/ Repair Guy Stripped The Burnt Wire On The Compressor And Added A New Wire It Worked Ok. I Called Another Company For My Yearly Service He Said The Wire Was Burn . He Pulled All Of The Wires Lose And Left.
The Unit Is A Bryant That Says 1982 On The Side? Not Sure Of The Year. Is There A Standard Color Code For Compressors. I Can Fix What He Did If I Could Find The Wiring Color Code

I believe the wire colors are yellow blue and red. They clip onto a crows foot that is covered by a rubber cover

You will have (S)tart, (C)ommon and (R)un on the compressor. S will come from the Start/Run capacitor, R will come from the Start/Run capacitor and C will come from the contactor (Load) side...
