I was injured at work two months ago due to some tiles being missing or chipped out of the floors. I have been off since then, I was previously injured in the same spot about six months prior, only off for a short time, but have been complaining about the floor since then. One of my pit bosses commented the last time I was in that other persons have complained previously too. I was in to do some paperwork last week and the floor is still not fixed. I am without health benefits now, and have been doing without an income for the last two months, I am getting desperate to get something accomplished, I am still waiting on Workers Compensation to get back to me, I was late doing the paper work in hopes of getting back to work sooner. I have to admit I am angry that in all this time of complaining and the injury that they have not done anything to fix the floor, Any advice for me. Thanks

I am from Saskatchewan Canada, it is Provincial Workers Comp. I have to give them time to reply. When I asked for the papers at work they were just handed to me to take home, I am told the law here is that the employer is suppose to complete them with me. I went back a couple of times and pursued this, and finally did get some assistance. The paper work was late, so I have to give them more time, before calling them. I am working for Casino Regina, in Saskatchewan , Canada Thanks for the reply.

It is your employers duty to provide you a safe working environment not only to his or her employees but also to people who comes in and out of his or her premises. They should follow strict compliance with the Health and Safety Law.
