I'm thinking about dumping my satellite TV and going to internet TV but have some questions
1. Since I can't get high speed where I am, I suppose I would have to get the satellite high speed internet. Right?
2. Is it possible or practical to hook my TV to my computer for viewing?
3. Could I operate a second computer on the same internet connection at the same time as receiving a TV station?
4. Does the new telephone system that's being advertised really work well on the net? Can you drop the phone company?

Any advice will be appreciated.

1. Yes, you DO need a broadband connection of some sort. If you can't get DSL or Cable, then satellite is your only other option.
2. Yes it is. Also the newer games consoles allow for easy TV hook up and streaming to a normal TV.
3. Yes, dead easy. Just a matter of connection speed.
4. Voice Over IP/Internet Telephony (VoIP) is good, but in the event of a power/network failure will not work, so a back up system (cell or landline) is advised.
