Does anyone know of a simple, easy start-up, no or low investment cost, Home Based Internet Business. Something that has meaning and substance and can make a significant impact on society? If so, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, tarbox7!
If this is something that you might like to start yourself, would you please let us know something about your education, training and job experience that you've already had, as well as interests that you presently have, please?
Most of the things that I do for a living, I consider to be home-based. I get the majority of my new business from what I've placed on the Internet.
Thanks!

I am Master's with E-business. I have many other hobbies like catering, drawing, music, art.
I want to pursue a business that is comfortable to deal with. I am a mother and a home-maker but want to still explore the world on my own and be a bit financially independent. Being an Indian and a Gujarati, the best thing I can offer is food and so I wish to start with a tiffin service, take away, type on a small scale.

Sit down and make a complete list of all the things you really enjoy such as hobbies, reading, communication, etc. Take several days and add to your list each day. When completed take each item on the list and break it down in sub categories. By the time you are finished you may find many opportunities that you never expected..

Hi Tarbox.
Like you I wanted to make a start in Internet Business and working from home. I cam e home after a gape year of travel and landed right in the middle of our Economic crisis and could not find work no matter how much I tried.
So I decided to do work from home. Bearing in mind I was unemployed and very new to the idea. I signed with many different chances and found I lost money with them all
Then I discovered the organisation I am with now and it was the best decision I made. I received loads of training and support and I am still training to this day 2 months down the line.
I started as an affiliate marketer which is free to sign up as in most cases then I moved onto a paid membership site. My set up cost for the paid site initially was £400 GBP but well worth it and that money I have made back anyway
Good luck with it
If you want low cost I would recommend affiliate marketing. If you want to make significant amount of money and run a full time business, you could train as I did with the member site then become a consultant to others.
