Hi,
I recently went to court with a dentist. He provided me with a pair of dentures which I was not happy with. I tried several times to let him know that the dentures needed to be fixed before I pay him anything. We went back and forth and he ended up taking me to court for the cost.

At court it was only the dentist his lawyer the judge and myself. The judge did not want to hear anything I had to say about the quality of the dentures. I am 66years old. The jugde was very nasty towards me and stated that I had to pay the total cost of 1600.00. The dentures themselves only cost around 600.00. The dentist said he would not fix the dentures in court. The legal fees were around 1000.00

I would like to know if I can get out of paying the dentist legal fees and what can do to refute the judgement and how costly would it be for to refute the judgement.

Please help.

This wouldn't seem to be small claims court, in most cases, lawyers are not permitted in small claims court.

What you needed to do, is take the dentures to another dentist to determine whether they didn't fit properly or not, then have that detnist testify or provide a statement to support your contention.

At this point it would probably cost you more to appeal then to pay the $1600.
