Find something that you can both live for that will last forever. I don't want to sound like a holly roller but when my husband and I found a religeon and church that we both felt comfortable with, our relationship became better than ever. Now we live our life for god and we know we will be together forever. We will both be going to heaven and that is being together forever not just for the next 20 years.

May I suggest you shorten your timeframe from forever to you and your spouse's lifetimes. Please let God take care of forever. He/She has a much better view at forever than we mere mortals will ever have. :)

Well one major way is for the both of you to learn to laugh at the stupidity of some of the things we do. Marriage thrives on happiness. Laughter feeds happiness.

You both need to learn how to be comfortable with each other.

Find pleasure and relaxation in common moments.

Be as interested in him as he is interested in you. Cultivate that.

The bottom line is Work! Marriage takes lots work by both parties. The payoff for the work is terrific and personally, I would not change the process by one hair.
