Hello

My boyfriend went to court today for a probation hearing they arrested him due to violation of probabtion. I'm trying to figure out how long he will be in there since we have a child on the way I want to know if he will be out in time for the birth of our baby. We are in the state of Texas and he is in Travis County.

There are many variables here.

Why was he on probation?
How did he violate probation?

Then the rest is all up to the judge in his case. Sorry, but there is no way to answer your question with any certainty.

He was on probabtion for having a hand gun... and his violation was substance abuse

Does he have a good lawyer?

Again it depends on the judge he is assigned too.

Hopefully excon will come along shortly and give you a better answer.

If he was convicted of a felony, he needs to seriusly be worried about the last crime.

But he will be first held to there is a hearing on the violation, and then most likely he will be revoked, esp for a gun, and have to serve the rest of the original sentence. But on the gun charge alone he could be doing several years.

He wasn't convicted of a felony I know that they were all misdemeanors.. he was at his probabtion hearing because of the last few visits he was dirty so they made him go to a hearing.. he would've been done with his probabtion at the end of this year
