Went on my computer the other night, logged on as normal, then all of a sudden it restarted, came up with the normal screen

Then came up with this
BOOTMGR is missing
http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr88/Primelle/S1054782.jpg

It will only restart from there onwards and show those 2 screens. On the first screen I was about to press "F10" which came up with some kind of check.
The check said this;

"Error code: BIOHD-8
Error: A SMART test failed o the drive
Suggestion: Back up your important data"

Anyone any ideas? Or is is off to the computer shop to be fixed?
This comp is brand new, only 2 weeks old. We have read the help guide that came with the comp, however, it only tells you what to do from the "Start" menue when logged on and we can't even get to that stage.
Any advice/help/suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know if you have Vista or not, but this link seems pretty helpful if you do:

Thanks, that is very helpful.
Shall give it a try when mother is home as I wouldn't like to make it worse!
