My name is Laquana White, and I am new to this cite.

I wanted to see if anybody knows about auto laws? I have a vechile that has 1 year left to pay on it and it has been fancied by a private in house financing company. I wanted to see if there is a way that I can lower the payments or even have the car paid off ahead of time. Because right now I am not working and I can't really avoid the payments right now but I need the car, it is almost paid for.

I got this car at a small dealership but now they closed and I guess sold all the in house contracts. The person that is financing this in house contact is not a big company at all. I called and saw that it was a cell phone. I also called in the morning and his wife answered and said he was asleep, so I don'y even know what type of business they are running. The car is not on my credit at all I just don't want nothing to happen because I really need the car I have four children. I already spoke with the person that is holding the finance and they said no we could not lower anything. Is there anybody that might be able to help me out.

You can try and get a new loan from another finace company.

But no they can repo the car if you do not make the payments.

Like Fr_Chuck pointed out, if you want to lower your payments, you could try to refinance the vehicle through another company for the remaining balance. Or as you pointed out, you could pay it off early but there is usually some type of fee for early pay-off, as the finance company wants to get as much interest as they can.

Do you know who currently holds the lien on the vehicle?
