I don't want a baby, but I just wondered how long do you think you would have to be off the contreseptive pill before being able to conceive?

Its usually recommended that you continue to use protection (condoms etc) until you have your next 'real' period then try to conceive as realitcally you can conceive straight away really x

You can conceive any time after stopping the pill. I was on the pill and forgot to take it for two days and got pregnant.

there is no perfect answer, as every woman can be different from the next.
I'm not saying the previous answers are wrong. Not one bit. Once you are off the pill you should act like you are off the pill, regular cycle or not. You should expect that you are fertile and capable of having a child immediately. As mentioned, imperfect use of the pill (miss a day or two) has a 4-5x pregnancy rate as perfect use...
but, since the pill can mask other underlying medical issues, you might not find yourself pregnant soon with deliberate attempts... and even "healthy" couples trying to conceive can take a year or more to conceive.
no easy answer here, since there's no singular description that fits all women. Some can tolerate the pill, some cant. Some get regular periods quickly when off, some take time.
