Well, maybe foolish! I was wondering what letters stand for after the name and model of a car. More specifically, for a few series of cars produced by KIA Motors (known as PRIDE in some countries) they use these letters: "GTX" or "GLX" or "GLXi" and so on. What do these letters stand for? Is there any global standard or rule for using these letters (I have seen the GLX model for Peugeot 405 as well)?
Thank in advance for your help,
Mahmud

Most of them just mean what trim you have for ex: the ex civic if fully loaded big motor (1.6 vtec 127hp) sun roof power windows, locks ,steering a step down is the lx has power everything its also a 4 door with a 1.5 non vtec motor (107hp)then it would go dx no power locks, steering, windows also a 1.5 (107hp) then the bottom line is the civic cx no power anything 1.5 (74hp)no tilt nothing just a base car
