Hi,
Please help me~~~~~
I am a student under F1 VISA. I come from China. In April 15, 2008, I took a part-time job as internship in a computer company, but my controller pay me as consultant, and gave me 1099-MISC in January, 2009. The amount in my form 1099-MISC is $14,391.

My question is
1. How to maximize my deduction in Schedule C and Form 1040NR?
2. I am not self-employment, so how to fill box A to H in Schedule C?
3. Do I need to file state tax return?

By the way, I live in California in 2008 tax year.

Thank you very very much!!

1. You can deduct your business related expenses.

2. Even if you say that you are not self employed, IRS considers you self employed or independent contractor. Your net income on schedule C is not subject to SE tax at 15.3%. 3. Yes.
