what is the ratio of the numbers? And find the value of n? For example: 3,9,27... etc, the ratio would be 3 because 3x3=9, 9x3=27, etc.
OK, the problem is: 24, n, 36. I don't know how to figure it out. :confused:

The ratio is (36 -24)/2 = 6

6x4 = 24
6x5 = 30
6x6 = 36

The middle number is 30

I know, but it can't be +6 because it has to be multiplication.

You're looking for ratios like this: 36 is to n as n is to 24. Or mathematically:

\frac {36} n = \frac n {24}

So now solve for n.

Oh OK so then it would be 12 radical 6. and then could you simplify that farther?
