I'm involved in an online relationship with a guy significantly older than me (I'm 23,he's 38)and from a different culture.Needless to say,he's a gem of a guy.. but there are issues which I may have to solve-my parents(they're very very conservative),thinking about the age difference and kids and health issues later.. I know I may sound too young for taking such a drastic step,so I wish to wait.. he;s willing to wait too,but only if my answer is a 100% yes.Another thing is,I really don't want to lose him,but I have to go his way or that-extremes.I haven't met him yet, shall meet him when I move to his country soon.I know itall sounds dumb and far-fetched,but it's still so real.Any opinions are welcome:)

I haven't met him yet, shall meet him when I move to his country soon. You posted this in the Marriage topic. Are you planning to move there to meet him for the first time to get married?

Nope, but he wants it for keeps.. not to date around n all.. it has to be a 100% thing.. I assume that means a "100%" unless some real drastic thing happens, within our families or something.

It sounds scary, but I have gotten to know him through the net,n then have met an older female friend of his.. it doesn't seem like m setting myself up for a mess or something.. we write to each other,n I kind of know a lot of personal details about him..

I would not consider marriage until I met the person face-to-face in their environement, including meeting friends and family. I don't think you realize how easy it is to put on a different persona from a distance.
